Step 3: Adjust the rotation angle if necessary. By default, the rotation angle value is set to 180 degrees. It allows to rotate your video by 180 degrees clockwise (to the right). If you want to change the rotation angle, click the Edit Effect button above the timeline to open the Video Effects window. Drag the Angle slider or type in the necessary numeric value into the entry field on the right. If you accidentally take a video in the wrong orientation, the video may show up sideways on your frame, computer and phone. To fix this on a Mac you do the following First, your video must on your Mac. Second, you want to open the video with QuickTime.

When you perform a scan with the ScanSnap, if the scanned image is displayed sideways or upside down, check the following:

Have you selected [Automatic] for [Rotation] in the scan settings?

Select [Automatic] for [Rotation] in the following procedure:

Windows

  1. The poly project mac os. Click the [Scan] button in the upper left of the main window of ScanSnap Home to display the scan window.

    If the main window is not already displayed, refer to To Display the Main Window.

  2. Select the profile that you are using from the profile list.

  3. Click to display the [Edit profiles] window.

  4. Select [Automatic] for [Rotation] in [Scan settings].

Did you scan a document in an orientation that is hard to determine?

When you select [Automatic] for [Rotation] in the scan settings, the page orientation is determined based on the character strings on the document.

Therefore, the image may be displayed sideways or upside down when you scan the following types of documents:

  • Documents with few characters in a font size between 8 and 12 pt.

  • Documents with many extremely large or small characters

  • Documents on which pitches between lines or characters are extremely narrow, or characters are overlapped

  • Documents with many characters contacting underlines or borders

  • Documents with many outlined or decorated characters

  • Documents with many photographs or figures and few characters

  • Documents with characters on a patterned background

  • Documents with characters printed in various directions such as drawings

  • Documents written using only capital letters

  • Documents with handwritten characters

  • Documents with faint characters

  • Documents with faded characters

Select another option other than [Automatic] for [Rotation] in the following procedure:
